M1W Wrestling 101

Mach One Professional Wrestling proudly announces the opening of its new training facility, "Wrestling 101". Building upon a foundation of tradition, respect, and experience, "Wrestling 101" offers a well-rounded education in all aspects of the art of professional wrestling from people who have lived the dream you aspire to, and will show you how to achieve those goals.

Training will include: Emphasis on the fundamentals Drills Conditioning Ring psychology Development of timing and positioning Continuous evaluation Advice on character development Assistance with promos Etiquette in AND out of the ring SAFETY

* TRAINERS *

Ryan Sakoda

Having found success across the globe, Ryan Sakoda has seen it all. Starting his training here in Southern California alongside some of the industry’s top stars such as TNA’s Samoa Joe, Frankie “KAZ” Kazarian, “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels, and WWE Superstar John Cena. Ryan established himself as one of wrestling’s top talents. Ryan’s talents have taken him to Japan’s Zero-One promotion, where he held the NWA Intercontinental Tag Team Championship (with Samoa Joe). Sakoda was also part of Team Emblem with Japanese superstars Masato Tanaka and Shinjiro Otani. Sakoda signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he appeared as a superstar on Smackdown as one half of the tag team Kyo Dai. Sakoda has wrestled some of the biggest names in professional wrestling, such as Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, the Dudley Boyz, and more. Ryan knows the valor of hard work and respect for the wrestling craft, and is intent on instilling this into the students of “Wrestling 101.”

Joey Ryan

A perennial champion with whatever company he has set foot in, Joey has become one of the most well known faces in professional wrestling worldwide. Ryan saw both his abilities and his stock soar after tutelage from former WWE superstar and graduate of the Shawn Michaels Training Academy, Brian "Spanky" Kendrick. Shortly after, Ryan began appearing regularly as enhancement talent on WWE Smackdown! as well as becoming the longest reigning PWG World Heavyweight Champion, defending the belt across the U.S. and Europe. Ryan went on to appear on MTV’s "Wrestling Society X," as well as the NWA Wrestling Showcase. Joey was the co-holder of the NWA World Tag Team Championships with his partner Karl Anderson for the better part of a year, a championship the duo successfully defended in such countries as Mexico, Germany, and Australia. Having created one of pro wrestling’s most memorable and sensational characters, Joey is sure to bring that charisma and flare in to "Wrestling 101".

* LOCATION *

The ASC, the largest indoor court facility in the U.S., serves as the home to numerous club volleyball, basketball, soccer, and gymnastics programs. ASC hosts basketball and volleyball tournaments, adult leagues, and special events throughout the year. In addition several prominent national and international sports organizations including the USA Men's National Volleyball team are headquartered in the complex, as well.

* OPPORTUNITIES *

"Wrestling 101" strives to offer the most well rounded education in the business and the craft of pro wrestling available anywhere, with periodic guest instructors, all with experience and success in the industry. Advanced students may receive opportunities to wrestle on live M1W’s weekly shows, and appear on M1W online and local television programming. M1W also offers the potential resources to aid you in your professional wrestling aspirations through our many working relationships and affiliation with the National Wrestling Alliance; professional wrestling’s oldest sanctioning body.

* SPECIAL GUESTS *

Wrestling 101 in addition to your fantastic instructors will bring in special guest speakers/trainers for W101 students to listen and learn about the ups and downs, and the triumphs and struggles to stardom in the business.

* CLASS TIMES *

Tuesday & Thursday: 7pm to 10pm
Saturday: 10am to 1pm

* TUITION *

$250 enrollment fee, which includes your first class, and a M1W T-Shirt.
Classes thereafter are $25 per class, or $200 per month for unlimited classes (12 classes a month for the price of 8).
